We are the Syncopations, a four-part a cappella group from Buffalo, NY that specializes in Barbershop Harmony. The group was started in Buffalo State College's Rockwell Hall, and was a quintet at first. Since then, much has changed. Only two of the original members remain, but the concept is still the same. We were on the International Stage in 2001 and hope to return again. We've gone through a few lineup changes over the years, so I hope you can keep up. Here's the current quartet:
Michael Holmes - Tenor

Mike is our wonderfully melodic tenor. How he hits those high notes, we'll never know. Mike's a recent grad of Buffalo State College, and now works as a waiter at the Olive Garden. Did I say waiter? I meant owner. In addition to being a restauranteur, Mike also lends his vocal talents to Our Lady of Sacred Heart in Hamburg, where they actually pay him (and handsomely i might add) to sing. Mike's also recently become engaged to the lovely Erin Mills, who's a much better singer than him. Bradley Smith - Baritone

Brad is the youngest member of the group, and the only one still in college. He's a sophomore at BSC studying music education. His vocal range, quality, and overall enthusiasm has made our transition at the baritone part a smooth one. Although Brad is new to barbershop, he's not a stranger to the stage. He's performed with several choruses in both high school and college. Brad hopes to remain a Syncopation because he was born to sing barbershop. Hi, my name is Vinnie Girardi, and as usual I save the best for last. I'm the webmaster of this page, so if you hate it, blame me. I'm the bass, so naturally I carry the whole quartet. I've never considered myself much of a singer until recently so it's been an adjustment dealing with adoring fans, signing autographs (see picture page) and fighting off all the groupies. But I've managed. I'm a grad of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, and Buffalo State College, but I miss school so much I think I'm going back. In the meantime I'm just working, driving my Alero, and singing with the quartet and my chorus, the East Aurora Friends of Harmony.
